About Bible Study

I am posting more bible study stuff now. This is one of the few sections the site will have as I post more of my writing.

I wrote yesterday about the difference between biblical study and spirituality. Those differences are important. That doesn’t lessen Bible Study, even if I do concede that by itself, it won’t make you more spiritual.

I have enjoyed the more academic approach, which does give a more precise interpretation of the intended meaning. We have all seen it in study groups, or in Sunday school: a teacher will ask, “What does this verse mean to you?’ What it means to you matters, but there is still an intended meaning that the writer wanted you to understand.
